Classic Black + White

When I think of Black + White my mind easily gravitates to "black" first.  It is so easy (and safe) to plan an outfit around black.  So I decided to turn it around this time and do a White +  Black outfit.  This linen white suit which I purchased at an Ann Taylor Outlet Store is a favorite and I haven't worn it in its entirety in a while, mainly using the pants and jacket separately in different outfits.
In keeping with the theme I went for my Chanel'esque set of pearls (necklace, bracelet and earrings) paired with probably one of the most comfortable pair of pumps I own (although they don't look so) and this clutch I love for its woven look in front and the cutest little detail in the back (see last pic).
Thank you for looking and take time to enjoy every day!

Parcel Time

Just like Adele of intotheblonde... I love receiving packages or as she calls them, parcels, which I like because it makes it seem so much more special.  Whatever you may call them receiving a box of goodies that are meant just for me makes my heart skip a beat and immediately transports me to my childhood on Christmas morning.  This particular parcel arrived just when I needed a pick me up.
Obviously, as a mom of two, wearing some sort of sneaker is practical and my back thanks me on certain days for wearing them.  But I always thought that if sneakers had a bit of height to them it would make my petite self so happy and I would also not have to hem my Juicy track pants.  Ta,da,da,da!  Enter Isabel Marant and her wedge sneakers.  But as much as I loved them the price I did not like.  I forgot them for a while and then stumbled upon Alina of mysilkfairytale wearing these sneakers I was in love again.  I immediately picked up the phone and thanks in part to some family help I now own these gorgeous babies.  Cannot wait to wear these out!
Be thankful for the little things and take time to enjoy every day!

The Heat is On...

The weather here in L.A. has been playing havoc on our sanity and my wardrobe.  This past Sunday while visiting family up North in the desert it was 109 degrees!  All I wanted to do is throw myself in a vat of Spumoni ice cream.  Sadly that still remains a fantasy.  To keep cool I went for all cotton fibers and a mix which I'm loving lately of turquoise (my fave) and orange.  While we stopped on the road to pick up refreshments at a gas station the lady at the counter asked me if I knew that my nail polish matched my shirt and my ring matched my pants and did I do this on purpose.  What do you think?
And as long as we are on the subject of pants, it is a true testament to my love of turquoise that I drove 20 miles to the nearest Nordstrom Rack that carried these pants that in reality are a true turquoise.
Take the time to enjoy every day!

Flower power + Neon

Blouse: H&M (old)
Pants: H&M
Pumps:  Wild Pair from Bakers (last year)
Bracelets: F21 & Target
Necklace: F21
Sunglasses: Chanel
Nail Polish: Orly Flirty

Hi Everyone!  I thought I would start my first blog post with the pair of pants that everyone seems to be wearing and loving, especially me.  Being petite these are a blessing since they fit perfectly without any tailoring needed.  I'm also loving the neon necklace.  I purchased it from F21 a couple of weeks ago and every time I wear it I receive so many compliments.  Take the time to enjoy every day!

I am so thankful for the wonderful things to come....
