This past weekend the Hubby and I celebrated an anniversary but we have been so swamped with end of school year events (graduations, recitals, shows, etc.) that we decided to split the celebrating in a couple of parts! On the day of we headed out and since it was terribly hot I opted for this light and breezy top from Zara. Each year for our anniversary I wear something white (just a cute reminder of being a bride) and this top with its crochet sleeves did not disappoint. For lunch we ended up at a restaurant we had never been to but after having an amazing meal and a great experience I am sure we will return there, even though its a bit of a drive to get there. We spent the rest of the day doing some shopping (see one of the items I got below) and overindulging the kids! All in all it was a wonderful anniversary (the first part anyway!).
I named this post after one of my favorite D&G (my initials) bracelets because I think it's so appropriate. What married couple (well, at least one that's been married as long as we have) doesn't need a 24 hour guide to happiness?

That blouse is beautiful! I love the cut -outs on the sleeve. Don't even get me started on the food. It's too early for my stomach to be growling.

ReplyDeleteFor our first anni, I wore a white vintage dress so as to maintain an all day feel of being a bride again as well. I wanted to make it a tradition to find something all white, but for our second anni I wore red and white polka dots, and then for our third this year I wore pink and grey. I strayed off. Oh well, maybe for our fourth I'll get back on the white thing. :) But you look lovely and y'alls divided anniversary celebration thingy sounds super awesome and makes it feel longer. That was a great idea!

I think it's a great idea to wear white on your anniversary. I never thought of that but I am glad that after all these years you two still take the time to do something to celebrate. Nice new clutch, does your husband have a brother who would be minorly interested in a slight shopoholic Azn lady like me? I am financially responsible, I have no credit card debt, and I consider myself quite educated, 2 bachelors and an MBA...oh and I am bilingual. Does the pkg sound attractive? lol!!!!
