Orange Shorts Re-Styled

Ever since I wore these gorgeous shorts (here) I knew I wanted to re-style them in a more modern tone.  Enter the Inspiration Monday Series by twobirdsboutique.  This time they picked Ashlee Simpson as the inspiration and as soon as I saw the picture my mind flew to my H&M orange shorts.  But you know I just couldn't resist fine tuning the outfit a bit with my own touches.  I added this pretty necklace I recently got at H&M and instead of booties (please, it's 95 degrees) I wore these great wedge sandals I got in Las Vegas years ago.

Neon & White

Neon has been having its five minutes of fame and I'm loving it.  I really do hope that it it gets to stick around for a bit so I can style pretty outfits like this one.  Just the simply vivacity of this color makes me smile and lifts my mood.  Instead of toning it down I decided to surround it by white for a crisp and chic vibe.
Have a wonderful day!  Wear some neon...

Nordstrom Rack Shoe Round-Up

As Nordstrom starts their Anniversary Sale this weekend I hit the Nordstrom Rack for their shoe clearance sale and I decided to share some of the shoes that caught my attention.
And even though I twisted my ankle the other day (you may notice my ankle is a bit swollen) I was a trooper and tried on all the shoes for you!
That done I will be spending the weekend nursing my ankle lying under the sun at the beach!.... and maybe a small day trip.

NOTES:  These black suede Steve Maddens caught my eye because of the pretty bow at the back of the heel.  I actually wore a similar pair of pumps to my high school prom (which I still have).  These were cute and pretty comfortable given the height of the heel.  Great clearance price too!

NOTES:  Calvin Klein wedge peep toes.  How cute is that lock at the front of the shoe.  I just couldn't get a great picture of the color of these wedges, which is a pretty bubble gum pink.  These were extremely comfortable and the peep toe didn't rub at my toes.

NOTES:  REPORT peep toes wedge.  I can see these cute nude colored wedges paired with a myriad of outfits.  They are super comfortable.  But at only 14% discount?  Come on Nordstrom Rack!  You can do better!

NOTES:  Calvin Klein animal print pumps.  These remind me of another pair of animal print shoes I used to have from Bebe.  I loved the low heel, super high comfort level and on trend animal print.  But the pointed toe?  Not so much.

NOTES:  Calvin Klein black leather flats.  I was attracted to these cute flats because of the back bow detail but they really were not that comfortable as the side of the shoe just didn't hug my feet right.

 NOTES:
Steven Madden purple suede wedges.  Given the purple top I just wore on my last post I was ready to purchase these cuties but did you notice?  They are two different shades.  Bummer because they were really comfortable.
Report nude flats.  As you can see I couldn't eve get these on.  They are a super cute style but in my opinion they run a whole size small and are more suited to ladies with real narrow feet.

NOTES:
Calvin Klein snake print flats.  Super duper comfortable.  These could be a go-to shoe!
Steve Madden sequin flats.  The shoe felt really stiff and uncomfortable inside due to the sequins.  Really not worth the money in my opinion.

NOTES:
Jeffrey Campbell orange suede peep toe pumps.  WOW!  How amazing is that color!?!?  Very comfortable and super stylish.  And what a great clearance price!
Enzo Angiolini pumps.  These were super comfortable.  I could see wearing these with a great LBD and dancing the night away.

NOTES:  Sam Edelman peep toes slingbacks.  Loved the print on both of these.  Couldn't believe how lucky I was to find the leopard print ones until I put them on and took another look.  Notice the different color print?  Another bummer!  Both were comfy!

NOTES:
Not Rated polka dot striped pumps.  I couldn't believe how comfortable these were.  Great price too.  But how versatile could these be with such a unique print?!?!
Dolce Vita slingback sandals.  I was ready to plunk down the cash for these wedges but they were super tight and my pinky was hanging out the sides.  No go.

NOTES:
Sam Edelman leopard print flats.  Really comfortable.  Great print.  Not really a fan of that initial design!  Maybe if it was in block lettering?!?!
Badgley Mischka sandals.  Super stylish, great colors and comfy.  Check out that clearance price!

NOTES:  Anne Klein wedges.  Every day run to the grocery store basic.  Super comfortable!

NOTES:  Jessica Simpson red pumps.   PLEASE HELP ME!  Which color should I get?
Thoughts, opinions are highly appreciated!!
Just don't say you like them both!!!  My Libra'ness just can't take it!
