Totally refreshed and feeling girly from a mani/pedi and a visit to the hair salon I was giddy with delight to wear this beautiful dress. It's been hanging in my closet waiting for me to get the twirling feeling. As a little girl I loved wearing pants/jeans because it allowed me the freedom of unhindered play and exploration. Dresses meant prim and proper ladylike behavior which curtailed certain activities (like climbing the neighbor's tree). The only great thing about dresses were the way they billowed behind me on a swing and how they resembled a flower when I twirled. I remember getting dizzy time after time when I tried in earnest to twirl so fast that the dress would form a perfect circle. Then I would twirl some more in front of the mirror while I imagined that my fairy prince was twirling me at a dance ball.
When I put on this pretty dress the memories all flooded back and I just could not help myself and just had to twirl!! But the tomboy in me just had to add the leather jacket just to even things out.
Take time to enjoy every day! (twirl)
