Beware: Hairbands Ahead!

We moaned and groaned about the cloudy/rainy weather and I guess somewhere out there the Weather Fairy got  fed up with all the complaining and decided to teach us a lesson.  Last Wednesday (here) I was singing in the rain and today I was baking in the heat!  A high of 84 degrees that is.
I had plans today of washing and curling my hair, wearing a recently acquired blazer, blah, blah, blah....  Curling my hair would be defeating the purpose since the heat would turn it into a frizzy hot mess anyway.  I remembered this cute hairdo I wanted to re-create that I saw on YouTube.  Hair washed and blow dried with a diffuser and wrangled into quite the same chignon I did in my last post but on semi-wet hair and higher.  Now came the tricky part, putting on the hairbands.  This is where I should share that wearing this type of hairband has always been tricky for me.  I feel as if I were to laugh, raise my eyebrows or sneeze these would fly off my head into the eye of the unlucky person standing behind me.  Luckily these stayed pretty well and actually made it through the day.
Now on to the outfit.  The blazer you ask?  Scratch that.  With my whole being concentrating on not making a false move so as not to make slingshots of my hairbands I was at a loss what to wear for our sudden heat spike! I stood before a full closet with not a thing to wear!  Familiar feeling?  For doing some shopping and a Pinkberry pit stop in between I opted for comfy heels and a breezy duo of shirt and capris that would keep me cool and not be a hindrance in the dressing room.
So if you don't like the outfit blame it on the hairbands!

Shirt:  Zara (last season)
Capri pants:  H&M

    1. Thank you! Turquoise & red: can't go wrong. The headband is actually two headbands that I criss-crossed.
