Follow the Gold Brick Road

Just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz had a story pretty much everything I'm wearing today has a story. This outfit was inspired by the gold soles of the Bebe pumps.  A simple pairing of jeans and blue shirt enhanced by all gold accessories and punched up a notch by the neon clutch.
Before Seven by All Mankind jeans arrived on the scene it was Earl Jeans that redefined the denim world.  These are by far still my favorite jeans although they were a bit looser when I bought them (ahem!). The neon green double clutch reminds me so much of a certain Alexander Wang leopard clutch that I wish I would have purchased when I had the chance. But I like this much cheaper version's color and the fact that at check-out the cashier tried to grab the top one thinking they were two separate bags. The look of amazement on her face when she figured out it was one whole clutch will always stay with me when I carry it. I have always had an affinity for medallion jewelry and although a bit bigger than I would like, I fell in love with this medallion necklace that is engraved with the profile of Catherine the Great.  The gold woven belt is a gift from my husband purchased years ago.
Happy Cinco de Mayo for those celebrating.  Stay safe.  Take time to enjoy every day!

    1. Yes, I do frequent Bebe a bit too much but they have such lovely things. Their shoes especially are so stylish and surprisingly SO comfy! Earl Jeans are no longer produced -they are now a part of 7FAM I believe.
